CREATE A CUSTOM FIELD MODIFY A CUSTOM FIELD ARCHIVE A CUSTOM FIELD REACTIVATE A CUSTOM FIELD Custom fields allow Administrators to gather and display additional information for a material. CREATE A CUSTOM FIELDOn the Chemical Management System main menu, select SETTINGS. Find the Material Components section, and click Custom Fields. Click Add Custom Field. In the Add Material Custom Field dialog box: Select either Decimal or Text for the Type. Provide a Title for the custom field. (Optional) Create a ToolTip for the field. Users see this text when they hover their cursor over the custom field. Click SAVE. The custom field activates immediately. MODIFY A CUSTOM FIELD Select SETTINGS on the Chemical Management System main menu. Find the Material Components section, and click Custom Fields. Find the field TITLE you want to modify and in its row, click the Update Custom Field icon. In the Update Custom Field dialog box, choose to modify the Type, Title, and/or ToolTip. Click SAVE. ARCHIVE A CUSTOM FIELDSelect SETTINGS on the Chemical Management System main menu. Find the Material Components section, and click Custom Fields. Find the custom field TITLE you want to archive and in its row, click its Archive Custom Field icon. CONFIRM the action. REACTIVATE A CUSTOM FIELD Choose SETTINGS in the left navigation panel. Find the Material Components section of the window, and click Custom Fields. Find the custom field TITLE you want to reactivate and in its row, click its Activate Custom Field icon, shown below. CONFIRM the action.
